Summer 2025 Roundup

This summer, the Karim Foundation took part in events across Cambridge, engaging with the community and supporting local initiatives.
It was wonderful to be part of this year’s Arbury Carnival for the fourth year running. As always, it was a pleasure to see new and familiar faces throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who visited our stall, and special thanks to all of you who continue to support us.

We were delighted to participate in the Refugee Week Community Fair at the Cambridge Central Library, organised by Cambridge City Council. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with so many of you, and to talk more about the work we do to help refugees in and around Cambridge.

Finally, our Director of Communications Ibrahim Rahman was a judge at this year’s Cambridge Speak Out Challenge Final held at Anglia Ruskin University – the world’s largest youth speaking event. The evening was filled with powerful young voices and inspiring speeches. Congratulations to Lili Liddell-Mickovski from Chesterton Community College, who was crowned champion for her brilliant speech on social media and doomscrolling.

The Karim Foundation continues its efforts to provide food and fuel support for Cambridge families and individuals in financial difficulty. Visit the Donate page to find out how you can help those in need today.
