As 2023 reaches its conclusion, we look back at some of our biggest highlights over the last twelve months.
March-April: Cambridge Ramadan Appeal 2023

Our Cambridge Ramadan Appeal returned for the third consecutive year, as we raised emergency funds for local people in urgent need of cost of living support. Through your generosity, together we raised an amazing £2,070. A huge thank you to everyone who supported this year’s fundraiser.
June: Arbury Carnival 2023

We were delighted to hold a stall at the Arbury Carnival for the second year running. It was lovely to see new and familiar faces and talk more about what we do to help the most vulnerable in the city. Many thanks to those of you who visited us on the day!
August: AlAnsaar raise funds to support locals in need

Cambridge community group AlAnsaar kindly donated £100 to the Karim Foundation after hosting their annual charity football tournament in August. The competition raised more than £1,500 to support various causes across the city and we were very grateful to have been chosen to receive some of the proceeds.
September: North Cambridge Soup Kitchen

We opened the doors to our North Cambridge Soup Kitchen and every month, local individuals and families have popped in for a free hot meal at the Meadows Community Centre. Many thanks to Al-Amin and Masjid Al Ikhlas and Cambridge Islamic Centre for your wonderful support, and especially to the Meadows Community Centre for allowing us to use their facilities. Our soup kitchen will be held at a different venue in the new year. Further details will be announced shortly.
December: Mill Road Winter Fair 2023

We had a wonderful time at this year’s Mill Road Winter Fair! A heartfelt thank you to all who took the time to visit our stall on what was a bitterly cold day in Cambridge.
The Final Word
